Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic exposure of the vaginal walls and cervix for diagnostic and minor therapeutic gynecologic procedures. The speculum facilitates direct visualization, cervical sampling (Pap tests), colposcopy, insertion or removal of intrauterine devices, and other office-based interventions where controlled access to the cervix is required.
Design & Configuration
The hinged bivalve (duckbill) design permits gradual, controlled opening of the vaginal canal to optimize visualization and minimize patient discomfort. Blade geometry and the 75 x 35 mm footprint balance reach and profile: the length provides access to the cervix while the narrower blade width reduces lateral pressure on the introitus, making this configuration appropriate for patients with a tighter vaginal canal or when a lower-profile speculum is preferred.
