Clinical Application

This curved placenta forceps is designed to assist obstetricians and delivery teams in controlled grasping and removal of placental tissue and membranes following vaginal delivery. The instrument's 25 cm length provides reach into the uterine cavity while the narrow 4.5 mm jaw width enables secure engagement of placental tissue or membranes for manual extraction and inspection. Use with careful, controlled traction to minimize risk of uterine inversion and to reduce retained tissue.

Design & Configuration

The Figure 1 curved geometry follows the uterine axis to improve access and line of sight during postpartum procedures. The curved configuration facilitates atraumatic engagement of placental tissue from the posterior or anterior uterine cavity while allowing the operator to maintain a natural hand position. The narrow jaw profile concentrates grip force to secure tissue with minimal bulk in the field.
