Clinical Application
Provides rigid percutaneous fixation for external fixation frames, skeletal traction, and temporary stabilization during fracture reduction and deformity correction. The trocar-point design facilitates controlled cortical penetration for diaphyseal and metaphyseal bone, making it suitable for trauma, orthopedics and limb reconstruction procedures where rapid, secure purchase is required.
Design & Configuration
The trocar tip is a cutting/penetrating point engineered to concentrate insertion force for predictable entry through soft tissue and cortical bone, reducing skiving and minimizing bone fragmentation during placement. A threaded shank engages cortical and cancellous bone to provide axial and rotational stability. The screw head is shaped to accept common external-fixation clamps and insertion wrenches, allowing quick attachment to frame components and controlled tightening.
