Clinical Application
Designed for focused bone curettage and debridement, this instrument is used to remove softened bone, granulation tissue, loose cancellous bone and to prepare bone surfaces or harvest small grafts in confined operative fields. The 21.5 cm length provides reach for deeper cavities while the small Fig. 0 working end enables precise scraping and shaping in procedures such as hand and wrist surgery, ENT/sinus work, neurosurgical bone work around the skull base, and podiatric bone debridement.
Design & Configuration
The combination of a slender, straight shaft and a compact scoop-style working tip minimizes soft-tissue retraction while allowing controlled access into narrow or deep bone cavities. A small-diameter curette tip facilitates tactile feedback and precise bone removal under direct vision or magnification, reducing the risk of collateral tissue damage and enabling fine contouring of cortical and cancellous surfaces.
