Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled uterine manipulation and secure cervical traction, this Hulka-pattern set is used to antevert/retrovert and elevate the uterus while delivering stable exposure of the cervix and uterus. The tenaculum function permits firm grasping of the cervical lip to apply traction, rotate the cervix, and maintain uterine position during diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage, laparoscopic pelvic procedures, tubal surgery, and other gynecologic interventions where precise uterine control is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument pairs a uterine elevator geometry with tenaculum forceps functionality to allow a single operator to elevate and stabilize the uterus without repeated instrument exchanges. The elevator component provides broad surface contact for controlled elevation and anteversion, while the tenaculum jaws deliver focal traction on the cervical lip. Ring handles with a positive locking mechanism enable hands-on control and sustained traction when needed. This arrangement helps optimize visualization and access to the operative field and facilitates tasks such as uterine manipulation, suturing, and hemostasis.
