Clinical Application
This single-point hook is designed to provide focal traction and exposure of soft tissue during procedures where precise, localized retraction is required. Common uses include holding skin edges or small flaps, lifting subcutaneous tissue during superficial dissection, maintaining exposure in plastic and reconstructive cases, and assisting wound exploration or debridement. The single-hook configuration is particularly useful when minimal instrument bulk in the field of view is important or when a controlled point of traction is preferred over broad-surface retractors.
Design & Configuration
The Figure 4 geometry places a defined bend in the shaft and hook that creates directional leverage while keeping the working tip visible to the surgeon. A single hook minimizes obstruction of the surgical field and allows precise placement on tissue edges or under small flaps. At 16 cm overall length, the instrument balances reach and control for use through small to moderate incisions without excessive handle-to-tip distance that can complicate fine manipulation.

Material & Construction
Forged from medical-grade stainless steel with a corrosion-resistant finish to withstand repeated sterilization cycles. The one-piece shaft-to-hook construction provides rigidity for controlled traction while the slender profile reduces obstruction within the wound. Designed for reusable workflows and compatible with standard steam sterilization protocols.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
