Clinical Application
Used to mechanically dilate the cervical canal to a controlled diameter prior to intrauterine procedures. Commonly employed during dilation and curettage, diagnostic or operative hysteroscopy, intrauterine device placement, and other gynecologic procedures that require atraumatic cervical access. The 14.0 mm diameter provides a definitive final dilation when that level of cervical opening is required or when progressing through a sequential dilator series.
Design & Configuration
The straight, cylindrical design with a gently tapered, rounded tip facilitates atraumatic entry through the cervical os and provides tactile feedback to the operator as the instrument passes the internal os. Single-ended configuration simplifies handling and control during dilation and is compatible with standard dilator techniques—either as a final dilator or within a graduated set for progressive dilation. The solid rod geometry resists bending under axial load, allowing predictable, controlled dilation.
Instrument Specifications
- Pattern: Hegar uterine dilator
- Configuration: Single-ended, straight
- Diameter: 14.0 mm
- Tip: Rounded, tapered for atraumatic passage
- Use: Cervical dilation for gynecologic procedures

Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance, durability, and repeated sterilization. The solid construction provides rigidity for controlled dilation while the polished finish minimizes tissue drag. Designed for reuse and compatible with routine sterilization processes such as steam autoclaving.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
