Clinical Application
Designed for otologic procedures requiring controlled delivery or removal of fluid within the external auditory canal and middle ear spaces. Common uses include irrigation for cerumen removal, controlled lavage during minor ENT procedures, and facilitation of small foreign-body washout. The instrument is suitable for use in outpatient ENT clinics, procedure rooms, and operating theaters.
Design & Configuration
The rigid single-lumen configuration provides direct, predictable flow for irrigation or aspiration while allowing the operator to maintain tactile control in the narrow confines of the ear canal. An atraumatic open tip minimizes mucosal trauma and reduces the risk of iatrogenic injury during canal manipulation. The Fig.1 SP geometry is intended to balance access and control in common otologic approaches where a firm, short catheter is preferred over flexible tubing.
