Clinical Application
Small, fine-profile hemostasis where accurate, atraumatic control of small vessels and delicate tissue is required. The straight Halstead Mosquito forceps is routinely used to occlude small bleeders, hold suture needles, perform delicate blunt dissection, and manipulate fine tissue during general, pediatric, plastic, ENT and outpatient procedures.
Design & Configuration
The straight shaft and fine serrated jaws provide direct alignment with the surgical field for precise tip control and visibility at shallow or superficial sites. A ratchet-locking mechanism with a stable box lock allows secure, reproducible clamping pressure for sustained hemostasis while freeing an assistant. Ring handles provide familiar ergonomics for single-handed placement and release.
