Clinical Application
Robust straight tissue forceps designed to provide a firm, reliable grip on dense connective tissue, fascia and wound edges. The instrument is intended for use in general surgical, abdominal, gynecologic and other soft‑tissue procedures where a secure hold and positive locking are required. Not recommended for extremely delicate tissues (for example, friable bowel mucosa) where atraumatic microsurgical forceps would be preferred.
Design & Configuration
The straight geometry provides direct alignment between the surgeon’s hand and the grasping tip for controlled tissue manipulation in open procedures. Serrated jaws deliver consistent purchase on tougher tissue planes, while the integrated ratchet allows the surgeon to lock the instrument at a desired tension for hands‑free retraction or sustained hold. The 18 cm length balances reach for superficial to mid‑depth cavities with ergonomic control at the bedside.
