Clinical Application

Provides controlled lateral dilation of the anterior nasal vestibule to enable direct visualization and instrument access during otolaryngology examinations and minor procedures. Commonly used for anterior rhinoscopy, targeted mucosal inspection, anterior septal assessment, removal of anterior foreign bodies, and facilitation of topical treatment or biopsy in clinic and operating-room settings.

Design & Configuration

The double-bladed, hinged geometry separates the nasal vestibule symmetrically to expose the anterior nasal cavity while minimizing soft-tissue trauma. An integrated adjustment mechanism permits incremental opening and secure positioning, allowing single-operator use with stable exposure. The blunt, rounded blade contours follow the anatomical curvature of the nostril to reduce mucosal pinching during dilation.
