Clinical Application
This straight Glover-style bulldog clamp provides controlled, temporary occlusion of small vessels during surgical dissection, vessel preparation and microvascular procedures. Its atraumatic jaw profile is intended to compress without serration or crushing, making it well suited for delicate tissues in plastic and reconstructive surgery, ophthalmic, ENT, peripheral vascular work and other procedures that require fine vessel control and short-term hemostasis.
Design & Configuration
The instrument uses the classic bulldog spring-action design to deliver consistent, gentle compressive force when applied. The straight shaft geometry offers a direct approach to exposed vessels in linear dissections or confined operative fields. The atraumatic, delicate jaws minimize intimal injury to small-caliber vessels while the low-profile head reduces obstruction of the surgical field and facilitates placement and removal with precision.
