Clinical Application
Designed for precise submucosal dissection and elevation of the nasal septal mucoperichondrium. The dual-tip sharp/blunt configuration facilitates initial sharp incision or dissection through adhesions and subsequent atraumatic elevation of mucosal flaps. Commonly used in septoplasty, closed rhinoplasty, and other intranasal procedures where controlled plane development between mucosa and cartilage/bone is required.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended sharp and blunt tips provide procedural versatility in a single instrument: the sharp end allows controlled entry or release of fibrous attachments, while the blunt end is used to gently lift and reflect mucoperichondrium without undue trauma. The 4.5 mm tip width offers a balance between fine control in narrow nasal cavities and sufficient surface area for efficient elevation. An 18 cm overall length gives appropriate reach and ergonomic control for intra-nasal work.
