Clinical Application
Used to displace and stabilize the uterus during gynecologic examinations and procedures. The instrument provides controlled caudal or anterior depression of the uterine fundus to improve visualization and access during procedures such as dilation & curettage, intrauterine device placement or removal, diagnostic hysteroscopy setup, and other vaginal surgeries where reliable uterine positioning is required.
Design & Configuration
A straight shaft terminating in a flat, broad distal blade concentrates contact area to distribute pressure and minimize focal trauma to uterine tissue. The 22 cm working length increases reach and control in deep pelvic anatomy or when additional shaft length is needed to achieve optimal uterine positioning. The simple depressor geometry permits one-handed manipulation or coordinated use with vaginal retractors and tenacula.
