Clinical Application
Provides controlled exposure of the vaginal canal and cervix for diagnostic and minor therapeutic gynaecologic procedures. Common uses include pelvic examination, cervical cytology sampling (Pap), visualization for colposcopy screening, IUD insertion and removal, cervical or vaginal biopsy, and application of topical agents. The finger-grip design allows the clinician to maintain tactile control during positioning and visualization.
Design & Configuration
The bivalved Doyen geometry offers broad, smooth blades to retract vaginal walls with minimal tissue trauma. The integrated finger grip is intended for single-handed manipulation and fine adjustment of blade separation, improving procedural ergonomics during office- or clinic-based exams. Blade dimensions of 85x60 mm provide moderate reach and exposure suitable for routine examinations and many minor procedures.
