Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures that require controlled grasping and removal of intrauterine tissue, this forceps is used to secure and extract endometrial polyps and small tissue fragments during polypectomy, dilation & curettage (D&C), or adjunctive hysteroscopy. The 20 cm length provides reach into the uterine cavity while allowing the operator to maintain tactile control at the handle.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a long, slender shank that facilitates access to the uterine cavity through the cervical canal. Ring handles with a ratchet closure permit a graduated, locked grip so the surgeon can maintain consistent traction on slippery or friable tissue without continuous manual squeezing. Narrow, atraumatic jaws are configured to minimize endometrial trauma while providing sufficient purchase on soft polyps for extraction.
