Clinical Application
Provides controlled, temporary occlusion of small- to medium-caliber vessels during vascular, cardiovascular, microvascular and general surgical procedures. The atraumatic DeBakey jaw geometry minimizes endothelial trauma during clamping, making this clamp suitable for vessel isolation during anastomosis, arterial control, bypass graft preparation and delicate tissue handling where preservation of vessel integrity is important.
Design & Configuration
The straight configuration offers a direct approach to vessels in confined or shallow operative fields, improving line-of-sight and instrument alignment during suturing and vessel preparation. As a spring-loaded bulldog clamp, it delivers a consistent, evenly distributed occlusive force without a locking ratchet, enabling quick placement and release. The DeBakey-style atraumatic jaws use longitudinal contact surfaces to secure tissue while reducing focal pressure points that can injure the intima.
