Clinical Application
Designed for temporary occlusion and vascular control of large-caliber arteries, this clamp is used in open aortic aneurysm repair, aortic reconstruction, and other procedures requiring atraumatic control of the aorta or major peripheral vessels. The atraumatic DeBakey jaw profile distributes pressure along the vessel wall to reduce risk of intimal damage while providing secure occlusion for anastomosis, suturing, or vessel exposure.
Design & Configuration
The 30 cm shaft provides extended reach for deep thoracic or abdominal exposures where proximal or distal control of the aorta is required. The DeBakey-style longitudinal jaw geometry produces broad, atraumatic contact with the vessel surface, minimizing focal pressure points. A ratcheted locking mechanism allows sustained occlusion while freeing the operator’s hands for reconstruction or hemostasis. The long, slim profile helps improve visibility in confined operative fields and facilitates gentle tissue handling during mobilization.
