Clinical Application
Designed for deep retraction and exposure of viscera and soft tissues during open procedures. Commonly used in general, trauma, colorectal, hepatobiliary and thoracic surgery to retract abdominal wall, bowel, liver or other organs to provide a clear field for dissection, anastomosis and visualization of deep cavities. The broad curved blade distributes pressure over a larger surface area, reducing focal tissue compression while maintaining consistent exposure.
Design & Configuration
The curved single-blade geometry provides reach into deep operative fields while following the natural contour of the abdominal or thoracic cavity. A 75 mm blade width offers broad surface contact to support and retract tissue without concentrated pressure points, and the 300 mm overall length gives additional reach for deep cavities. The handheld configuration allows an assistant to adjust tension and direction dynamically, improving access for the primary surgeon.
