Clinical Application
Designed for controlled retraction of cortical and subcortical brain tissue during craniotomy, tumor resection, hematoma evacuation and other intracranial procedures. The malleable double-ended spatula permits atraumatic separation of delicate neural tissue and maintenance of a stable operative corridor while allowing frequent repositioning and contouring to the surgical field.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended, malleable configuration provides two working surfaces in a single instrument, enabling quick orientation changes without instrument exchange. The malleable blade can be contoured intraoperatively to match cortical curvature or the geometry of a surgical cavity, distributing retraction forces across a broader surface to reduce focal pressure on tissue. The low-profile flat blades are suited for shallow to moderate depth exposures where space is limited and tactile feedback is important.
