Clinical Application

Designed for anterior cervical exposure, this Cloward-style retractor provides controlled soft-tissue retraction to establish and maintain a working corridor for anterior cervical discectomy, fusion, and other anterior cervical procedures. The retractor assists in displacing strap muscles, trachea, esophagus and carotid sheath elements atraumatically to optimize visualization of vertebral bodies, discs and anterior instrumentation landmarks.

Design & Configuration

The set includes five interchangeable blades that allow the surgeon to tailor the width and profile of the exposure to patient anatomy and operative needs. Interchangeable blades permit staged dilation of the soft tissue corridor, improving access while minimizing traction on surrounding structures. The blade-to-handle interface and blade geometry are intended to provide stable, evenly distributed retraction across the operative field, facilitating bimanual technique and use of instrumentation.
