Clinical Application
Designed for exposure of the anterior cervical spine, this curved Cloward retractor provides soft-tissue retraction for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and other procedures using the Cloward approach. The retractor frame maintains a stable working corridor to the vertebral bodies and disc space, allowing surgeons unobstructed access for discectomy, graft placement, interbody device insertion, and anterior instrumentation.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry follows anterior cervical anatomy to help align retraction vectors and distribute tissue tension evenly across the operative field. Supplied without blades, the open-frame design lets surgical teams select blade style and size appropriate to patient anatomy and procedural needs. The curved frame centers the exposure and helps maintain a low-profile working channel for instruments and visualization.
