Clinical Application
Designed for mechanical removal of secretions, dried mucus and biofilm from the internal lumen of endotracheal and tracheostomy (trachea) tubes. The brush assists sterile reprocessing and routine maintenance to help restore tube patency, reduce airway resistance, and support effective ventilation and suctioning. Clinically useful in operating rooms, intensive care units, PACU, ambulatory surgery centers and respiratory therapy departments for both intra-procedural clearing and between-case cleaning prior to sterilization.
Design & Configuration
The 26 cm shaft provides reach through most clinical tracheal tube lengths while the 12 mm brush head is sized to engage the inner lumen of commonly used adult tracheostomy and larger endotracheal tubes without excessive compression. A flexible shaft allows the brush to follow the curvature of the tube and be manipulated to scrub the inner walls effectively. The single brush-head configuration supports controlled manual rotation and withdrawal during cleaning to dislodge adherent material and reduce residual occlusion.
