Clinical Application
Designed to assist surgeons in circumcision procedures by safely delineating the plane between the glans and the prepuce, the probe is used to identify and gently separate preputial adhesions, dilate the preputial ring, and provide a tactile guide for incisions or suture placement. Its atraumatic tip reduces the risk of inadvertent injury to the glans or urethral meatus while providing a reliable backstop during controlled cutting or stitch placement. Useful in outpatient, clinic and operating room settings for circumcisions across patient ages.
Design & Configuration
The instrument’s straight, slender shaft and extended 15 cm length permit sufficient reach and control for older pediatric and adult patients while maintaining tactile feedback for delicate dissection beneath the foreskin. A blunt, rounded tip protects underlying structures and allows the surgeon to sweep and probe adhesions without sharp contact. The smooth, low-profile shaft minimizes tissue drag and facilitates insertion and removal through a narrow preputial opening.
