Clinical Application

Long-shaft endoscopic forceps intended for retrieval and manipulation of foreign bodies and small tissue specimens during airway and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The 50 cm shaft length provides the working reach required for adult bronchoscopic and esophagoscopic procedures and for use through long rigid or flexible endoscope working channels. Clinically, these forceps are used for controlled grasping and extraction of objects, positioning or removing small obstructions, and limited tissue handling in otolaryngology, pulmonology, and GI settings.

Design & Configuration

The extended shaft geometry allows access to distal airway branches and esophageal segments while keeping the operator's hand outside the sterile field. A single long rod-style configuration minimizes profile so the instrument can be passed through narrow working channels with minimal interference to endoscope optics. The Fig.4 pattern denotes a classic Chevalier Jackson jaw geometry designed to balance secure grip with controlled release, supporting stable retrieval of small objects without excessive tissue trauma.
