Clinical Application
Designed for anterior cervical spine procedures, this Caspar-style retractor provides stable, hands-free exposure of the operative field during anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), corpectomy, and related cervical procedures. The system maintains consistent displacement of soft tissues, allowing unobstructed visualization of the vertebral bodies and disc spaces and facilitating safe passage of instruments, implants, and grafts.
Design & Configuration
The self-retaining design holds blades in a fixed position once tensioned, reducing the need for an assistant to maintain exposure and minimizing intermittent movement. A set of five interchangeable blades enables stepwise enlargement of the operative window and customization to patient anatomy. The included hook offers focused retraction for tissues such as the longus colli muscle or to assist in mobilizing the tracheoesophageal complex, improving access and protecting soft tissues during instrumentation.
