Clinical Application
Used to provide stable, self-retaining exposure of the anterior cervical spine during procedures such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), corpectomy, and other anterior cervical approaches. The frame supports interchangeable blades to maintain a consistent operative corridor, facilitates placement of interbody devices and instrumentation, and preserves soft-tissue retraction for direct visualization and instrument access.
Design & Configuration
The rigid 15 cm frame presents a compact span suitable for cervical anatomy while leaving the surgical field unobstructed. As a frame-only configuration, it permits selection and attachment of Caspar-style blades and blade clamps (sold separately), enabling modular blade geometry for varying levels of exposure. The open central window in the frame allows instrument manipulation and fluoroscopic access without disassembly, and the frame-mounted interface provides secure blade fixation for consistent retraction throughout the procedure.
