Clinical Application
Provides stable, atraumatic exposure of the anterior cervical spine for procedures such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), corpectomy, and other anterior cervical approaches. The multi-blade Caspar arrangement allows tailored field exposure across multiple vertebral levels while maintaining retraction without continuous manual hold, improving visualization of disc spaces and vertebral endplates.
Design & Configuration
The self-retaining Caspar-style design uses a modular set of blades to create a controlled working corridor. Ten flat blades permit incremental adjustment of span and depth to conform to patient anatomy and the levels being addressed. This geometry distributes retraction forces across multiple points to reduce localized pressure on soft tissues and facilitates instrument access to the disc space, endplates, and anterior vertebral bodies.
Instrument Specifications
- Caspar cervical retractor, multi-blade set
- Includes 10 blades
- Blade sizing: 90x120x120 mm
- Flat retractor blade pattern for anterior cervical exposure
- Reusable, surgical-grade construction
Material & Construction
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability under repeated sterilization cycles. The flat blade profile provides a broad contact surface to minimize focal tissue compression while maintaining a low-profile corridor for instrumentation and visualization.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
