Clinical Application
These conical ear specula provide direct visualization and controlled access to the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane in outpatient and operating-room settings. They are used for diagnostic otoscopy, cerumen and foreign-body removal, microsuction procedures, and to establish a stable working channel for minor aural instrumentation and office-based ear procedures.
Design & Configuration
The set contains five incrementally sized conical/funnel specula covering a 4 mm to 8 mm diameter range so clinicians can select the optimal lumen for patient anatomy. The tapered, flared geometry centers the field of view, directs illumination down the canal, and provides a contained passage for suction or small instruments while helping to minimize contact with the canal walls.
