Clinical Application
Designed for controlled biting and removal of small to medium bone segments and sharp cortical fragments during orthopedic, trauma, hand, maxillofacial and ENT procedures. The curved beak allows surgeons to approach curved anatomy, access confined surgical corridors, and excise protruding spicules or osteophytes while maintaining visibility of the working tip.
Design & Configuration
The curved beak geometry concentrates cutting force at the point of contact, enabling efficient sectioning or shearing of bone with a precise, short stroke. The forceps' curved shaft improves line-of-sight and access around anatomic contours (for example, jaw, phalanx, or distal metaphyseal regions) and helps reach laterally placed fragments without excessive hand repositioning. Box-lock or hinge placement near the working end provides leverage and tactile feedback for controlled bites.
