Clinical Application
Medial blade designed to attach to a Caspar anterior cervical retractor system to provide controlled midline retraction of soft tissues, trachea and esophagus during anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and related anterior neck approaches. The blade's footprint and profile facilitate exposure of one or more cervical levels while minimizing obstruction of the surgical corridor and reducing pressure points on adjacent neurovascular structures.
Design & Configuration
The 60 x 24 mm low-profile medial configuration provides a balance between surface area for effective soft-tissue retraction and a narrow profile to preserve working space for instrumentation and imaging. A medial blade orientation centralizes retraction forces along the midline, helping to maintain an unobstructed anterior approach while permitting lateral blades or lateral arms to complete the exposure. The blade geometry is selected to reduce need for repeated repositioning and to improve surgeon access at single- or multilevel exposures.
Instrument Specifications
- Pattern: Caspar retractor compatible medial blade
- Configuration: Low-profile medial blade for direct midline retraction
- Size: 60 x 24 mm
- Material: Titanium (TiT)
- Reusable: Designed for repeated sterilization and clinical use

Material & Construction
Constructed from titanium (TiT) to provide a lightweight, corrosion-resistant blade suitable for repeated clinical use. The alloy delivers strength with reduced instrument weight to lower fatigue during lengthy cases. The component is designed for routine decontamination and sterilization workflows in accordance with facility protocols.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
