Clinical Application

Design & Configuration

These blades are supplied as a matched left/right pair designed to engage the rib cage and transmit spreading forces from the retractor frame. The blade geometry provides a broad contact surface to distribute load across the rib margin, which reduces point pressure on intercostal tissues and helps preserve costal integrity.
