Clinical Application

Provides targeted rib retraction to expose the pleural cavity, mediastinum and thoracic contents during open thoracotomy and related chest procedures. Used with a Finochietto-style retractor frame to separate ribs and maintain stable operative exposure for procedures such as pulmonary resections, esophageal access, trauma thoracotomy and cardiac access when lateral thoracic exposure is required.
