Clinical Application
Designed for controlled aspiration in confined or delicate operative fields, this instrument provides targeted removal of blood, irrigant, and small soft debris. The narrow 2.0 mm lumen and 16 cm reach allow surgeons to access shallow-to-moderate depth cavities with fine control, making it useful for microsurgical tasks, otolaryngology/endoscopic procedures, head & neck surgery, and other settings where precise suction is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument combines a slender shaft with an internal removable stylet. The small-diameter lumen minimizes disruption to surrounding tissue while maintaining effective suction flow. The 16 cm length balances reach and operator control for most superficial-to-semi-deep operative approaches. The removable stylet maintains lumen patency during insertion and can be withdrawn to restore full suction, reducing the risk of clogging by tissue or coagulum.
Instrument Specifications
- Model: Barron suction tube with stylet
- Lumen diameter: 2.0 mm
- Overall length: 16 cm
- Configuration: Single-lumen, open suction tip with removable internal stylet
- Intended use: Focused aspiration of fluid and small debris in confined operative fields

Material & Construction
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and repeated sterilization. The internal stylet is integrated to provide temporary lumen support during insertion and to assist in clearing obstructions before re-establishing suction. The instrument is designed for repeated clinical use when processed according to facility sterilization protocols.
Quality & Compliance
