Clinical Application

This double-ended probe is designed for atraumatic exploration and mapping of fistulous and sinus tracts. It is used to identify tract direction and length, locate internal openings in perianal and other cutaneous fistulae, and to pass guide sutures or setons. The instrument is suitable for use in colorectal, general, and minor surgical procedures where controlled, gentle probing of narrow tracts is required.

The D/E configuration provides two complementary probe ends, allowing the surgeon to select the most appropriate tip profile without instrument exchange. The 14 cm shaft length affords reach for deeper or tortuous tracts while maintaining manual control and tactile feedback.
