Clinical Application

Designed to provide stable, hands‑free exposure of the anterior abdominal wall during open abdominal procedures. The retractor maintains consistent wound edge separation and deep cavity exposure for procedures such as exploratory laparotomy, bowel resection, gynecologic surgery, trauma laparotomy and other intra‑abdominal operative cases where broad, sustained retraction is required.

Design & Configuration

The instrument features a self‑retaining frame that accepts adjustable lateral blades and a central (midline) blade. Lateral blades are positioned to retract the rectus muscles and flank the incision while the central blade elevates and protects the linea alba and deeper tissues. The self‑retaining geometry reduces the need for continuous manual retraction, freeing surgical assistants to perform other tasks and improving stability for delicate dissection and anastomosis.
