Clinical Application

Designed to provide rigid mechanical support for sternal retraction during median sternotomy and other cardiothoracic procedures. The arm is intended to hold retraction blades or attachments at a stable position to maintain exposure of the mediastinum, heart and great vessels while minimizing the need for manual retraction. Design & Configuration

The extended arm geometry delivers reach and clearance over the surgical field, allowing the retractor assembly to be positioned so that blades are out of the immediate operating corridor. A rigid, properly dimensioned arm reduces oscillation and drift under load and permits fine positioning of the retraction assembly for optimal wound exposure.
