Clinical Application
Elastic ligation rings designed for use with ligator forceps to perform mechanical band ligation. When placed around targeted mucosal or vascular tissue, the rings provide circumferential constriction to promote ischemic necrosis and subsequent sloughing of the ligated tissue. Common clinical uses include hemorrhoidal banding and endoscopic variceal ligation where rapid, reliable deployment of an elastic band is required for hemostasis and tissue removal.
Design & Configuration
The rings are manufactured to a circular, elastomeric geometry that allows them to be stretched over the jaws or barrel of a ligator forceps and retained until deliberate release. Elastic recoil and consistent inner diameter are key design features that ensure a secure fit on the device prior to deployment and predictable transfer to tissue during the procedure. Supplied in a bulk pack of 100 to support procedure throughput and reduce repeat ordering for high-volume practices.
Instrument Specifications
- Pack quantity: 100 rings
- Intended for use with ligator forceps
- Application: mechanical band ligation for mucosal/vascular tissue
- Single-use, disposable consumable
Material & Construction
Constructed as elastomeric rings engineered for consistent stretch, grip, and release characteristics that are critical for reliable band deployment. Dimensional consistency and elastic performance are controlled to provide predictable clinical behavior during stretching onto the instrument and transfer to tissue.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
