Clinical Application
This 8 mm aspiration cannula is intended for uterine evacuation and aspiration procedures in gynecologic practice. It is used to remove products of conception, retained tissue, or endometrial material during manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) or suction-assisted uterine evacuation and as an adjunct for dilation and curettage procedures. The 8 mm lumen accommodates higher flow rates to facilitate efficient removal of soft tissue and minimize the need for repeated passes.
Design & Configuration
Fig.4 denotes the manufacturer's pattern for tip profile and proximal connection. The instrument is a single-lumen, hollow cannula with a smooth internal bore to maintain consistent vacuum flow. The distal end is configured with an atraumatic, open tip profile intended to reduce endometrial trauma while allowing effective tissue aspiration. The proximal end is shaped to interface with commonly used suction tubing and manual aspirator adapters for straightforward clinical use.
