Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures requiring targeted curettage of the uterine cavity. The instrument is used in diagnostic and therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial biopsy or sampling, removal of retained products of conception, and uterine cavity debridement following miscarriage or delivery. The dual-end configuration gives clinicians immediate access to both a sharp scraping edge for tissue sampling and a blunt scoop for gentle tissue removal or cavity sweep.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended sharp/blunt layout reduces instrument changes during procedures by providing two distinct working ends on a single shaft. The sharp end permits firm scraping for targeted tissue collection and visualized sampling, while the blunt/scoop end is intended for atraumatic removal of soft tissue. A 27 cm overall length provides sufficient shaft reach for uterine access in standard gynecologic cases while maintaining control and tactile feedback for the operator.
