Clinical Application
A malleable, blunt curette used primarily in gynecologic procedures for controlled scraping and removal of soft tissue from the endocervical canal and endometrial cavity. The 25 cm length provides reach for typical intrauterine access and sampling. The blunt edge is intended to reduce focal pressure and minimize risk of inadvertent perforation while enabling effective tissue retrieval for diagnostic biopsy, endometrial sampling, or therapeutic curettage.
Design & Configuration
The malleable shaft permits gentle, controlled manual contouring to match patient anatomy or specific procedural angles, improving access to the uterine fundus, cornua, or lower uterine segment as required. The Fig.4 pattern denotes a specific distal geometry optimized for ergonomic handling and consistent tissue engagement. A blunt curette tip distributes contact force over a broader surface, making it well suited for scraping and debridement where minimizing focal penetration is desired.
