Clinical Application

This malleable Sims curette is intended for atraumatic scraping and removal of endometrial and intrauterine soft tissue during gynecologic procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial biopsy, removal of retained products of conception, and diagnostic sampling. The blunt tip is designed to sample tissue while minimizing cutting or sharp trauma to the uterine wall.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft allows the clinician to contour the instrument to match individual uterine anatomy or to navigate through a speculum and cervical canal with controlled curvature. The blunt, rounded curette tip provides a scraping surface that reduces the risk of perforation compared with sharp curettes while still permitting effective tissue collection. A 25 cm overall length offers reach for routine intrauterine work within standard gynecologic approaches.
