Clinical Application
This instrument is intended for gynecologic tissue removal and sampling where a sharp curettage action is required. Common uses include endocervical and endometrial sampling, uterine curettage during dilation and curettage (D&C) procedures, removal of retained products of conception, and targeted debridement of intrauterine or endocervical tissue. The sharp cutting edge facilitates controlled scraping and specimen retrieval for histopathology.
Design & Configuration
The malleable shaft allows the clinician to contour the instrument intraoperatively to match the uterine or cervical axis, improving access in anatomically variable cases. The Fig.2 Sims pattern provides a scoop-like cutting profile with a sharp edge to engage and excise tissue efficiently while offering tactile feedback during curettage. At 25 cm overall length, the shaft provides reach for deeper cavities while the malleable design permits fine adjustments to angle and curvature for precise positioning.

Material & Construction
Constructed from medical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and repeated sterilization. The malleable stainless steel shaft is engineered to accept controlled bends so the surgeon can tailor the instrument geometry to the patient anatomy without compromising cutting performance. There are no disposable components; the design supports standard cleaning and sterilization workflows used in surgical facilities.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
