Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures that require controlled endometrial tissue removal, this curette is used in dilatation and curettage (D&C), endometrial sampling, and evacuation of retained products of conception. The instrument allows surgeons to obtain tissue for diagnostic pathology or to remove nonviable intrauterine material during office or operative procedures.
Design & Configuration
The long 28 cm shaft provides additional reach for accessing the uterine cavity in a variety of patient anatomies while maintaining tactile feedback. The single-ended configuration concentrates the scraping surface at the distal tip, enabling controlled sweeping or scooping motions. The curette geometry is intended to facilitate efficient tissue collection while allowing the operator to modulate pressure and angle to reduce the risk of undue traction on the uterine wall.
