Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures that require controlled mechanical scraping of the endometrium and removal of intrauterine material. Common applications include diagnostic endometrial sampling, therapeutic dilation & curettage (D&C) and removal of retained products of conception. The instrument is intended for use after cervical dilation and may be used in ambulatory surgery centers, hospital operating rooms, and clinic procedure suites.
Design & Configuration
The long 28 cm working length provides an extended shaft for comfortable handling and improved reach during uterine instrumentation, while allowing the surgeon to maintain tactile control at the proximal handle. The Fig.2 configuration is tailored to deliver a predictable working length and ergonomics for uterine access, enabling effective scraping and curettage of cavity surfaces. The simple, single-piece geometry minimizes areas that trap tissue or fluid, which aids intraoperative handling and postprocedure reprocessing.
