Clinical Application

This instrument is used to mechanically sample or remove endometrial tissue from the uterine cavity. Common applications include diagnostic and therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial biopsy for histopathology, and removal of retained products of conception following miscarriage or incomplete abortion. The length facilitates access to the fundus in a variety of uterine anatomies while providing the clinician tactile feedback during curettage.
