Clinical Application
Designed for controlled mechanical removal of endometrial tissue, this curette is used during dilation and curettage (D&C), diagnostic endometrial sampling, and removal of retained products of conception. The instrument provides the tactile feedback clinicians rely on for blind intrauterine curettage and targeted scraping of the uterine cavity.
Design & Configuration
The Fig.4 geometry features a spoon-shaped cutting tip set on an angled, rigid shaft that facilitates entry through the cervical canal and access to the uterine fundus with minimal instrument rotation. The 27 cm overall length gives additional reach for routine adult gynecologic procedures, helping reduce the need for repeated exchanges when working in deeper cavities. The curved/angled tip helps maintain contact with the endometrial surface while allowing efficient tissue capture and removal.
