Clinical Application
Designed for diagnostic and operative gynecologic procedures, this flexible Recamier curette is used for controlled scraping and debridement of the uterine cavity. Typical applications include endometrial sampling, uterine curettage, removal of retained products of conception, and gentle curettage where a broader scraping surface is required.
Design & Configuration
The combination of a 31 cm flexible shaft and a 30 mm blade provides reach into the uterine cavity while allowing the distal tip to conform to the cavity curvature. Flexibility improves tactile feedback during manual curettage and facilitates access in anatomies where a rigid instrument may be difficult to position. The 30 mm blade offers a relatively broad contact surface for efficient tissue sampling and debridement without requiring multiple passes.
