Clinical Application
This sharp Recamier-pattern curette is intended for controlled scraping and removal of soft tissue from body cavities. In gynecologic procedures it is commonly used for endometrial sampling, curettage during dilation and curettage (D&C), and removal of retained products or granulation tissue. The 23 mm working loop provides a balance between surface area and precision for working within the uterine cavity or other small anatomical spaces where a sharpened edge is required to dissect or core tissue.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a loop-shaped working tip with a sharpened cutting margin to facilitate efficient tissue capture and scraping. A 31 cm overall length provides extended reach for accessing deeper cavities while preserving tactile feedback. The loop geometry concentrates force at the cutting edge, enabling controlled excision with minimal lateral movement, and the shaft profile supports secure handling and directional control during delicate maneuvers.
