Clinical Application

Designed for gynecologic curettage, this instrument provides controlled blunt scraping and removal of endometrial tissue. Common uses include dilation and curettage (D&C), targeted endometrial sampling, and extraction of retained products of conception where a ring curette is indicated. The 20 mm loop diameter balances surface area for efficient tissue removal with tactile feedback to help the surgeon avoid excessive force on the uterine wall.

Design & Configuration

The flexible shaft permits the curette to follow uterine curvature, improving access in anteverted or retroverted uteri and helping reduce focal pressure points that can increase perforation risk. The ring (loop) tip provides a continuous scraping surface for uniform tissue removal, and the 31 cm overall length gives the clinician additional reach for deep uterine cavities or when longer instruments are required during transvaginal procedures. The Fig.10 pattern denotes the standard Recamier geometry familiar in gynecologic instrument sets.
